PT Matahari Leisure took part in Strategic Platform for Action, Research, and Collaboration (SPARC) UNJ 2026, an innovation and collaboration event hosted by Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) on November 3–4, 2026.
Carrying the theme “Igniting Innovation, Connecting the World,” the event brought together academics, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders to foster innovation, research commercialization, and cross sector collaboration.
As part of the event, PT Matahari Leisure participated in the Innovation Exhibition, a platform showcasing innovative products, research developments, and applied technologies from universities and industry partners. The exhibition provided an opportunity to engage with the academic and business communities, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations in developing innovative solutions.
A key highlight of SPARC UNJ 2026 was the talkshow titled “Di Balik Layar Growth: Dari Industri, Asosiasi, hingga Korporasi”, which featured Tigor Namora, CEO of PT Matahari Leisure, as one of its keynote speakers.
During the discussion, Tigor Namora shared insights into the realities of building and sustaining a business, highlighting the importance of discipline, adaptability, innovation, and a strong understanding of market dynamics. He emphasized that sustainable business growth requires more than identifying opportunities; it also demands operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the ability to respond to evolving customer needs.
Drawing from his experience in the corporate sector, he also highlighted the importance of collaboration between universities and industries in accelerating research commercialization. Universities possess valuable research capabilities and innovative ideas, while industries bring market insights, operational experience, and commercialization capabilities. Connecting these strengths can help transform academic research into practical products, technologies, and solutions that create meaningful value.
